First Day of School

Today we are starting school even know we are not ready. I ordered cirriculum on Saturday, but I have a schedule to keep. We are going to be using the Writing Road to Reading for Jonah who is 5 and a half. I am going to include Annie, who is 2, as much as possible. We are also starting the The story of the World volume 1, Family Math, The Creative Family, and I am going to read through The Well Trained Mind too. We will see how it goes. Jonah is already so resistant to school to I will have to get creative. Good thing I have a degree in creativity, For reals. Ha Ha. I have also left myself and hour a day to craft, and hour to exercise and a hour at the computer(a huge cut back.) So until the books show up we are going to do projects to decorate the class room and work through the Alphabet which my 2 year old knows better than my 5 1/2 year old. More Pictures to come.

It's on

Well it's been 3 weeks and I feel good and the kids are manageable. I feel it is time to begin getting into shape. I don't want to just get back into the shape I was in. I want it all. The Lord blessed me with a health, well proportioned figure and it is high time I tune it up to its fullest potential. I want to do it mostly for my husband. My man has loved every shape I have been in the last 5 years. I just feel like you know your man loves you but deep down you know that you can look better and shouldn't you always try your hardest for the one that you love the most. Now I have never exercised and ate right on a regular basis. I think that if I journal this here that I will hold myself more accountable. I might even post a picture or two. Not that anyone views this blog. I am going to start off interval training as often as I can hopefully 5 or 6 times a week. Starting with 10 minutes on the elliptical and a set of lunges, squats, V-sits, leg lifts, and push ups. I think that will cover it. Right now I weigh 156 lbs and I am 5'6". My goal is to weigh 130 by November when my husband and I go to Cabo (already booked) It will be our first real vacation alone, so it will be really our honeymoon only 5 years late. I want to look slamin. Baby Henry is doing great. He is so sweet. I started to read Don't make me count to three by Ginger Plowman. Let you know how it goes.

My little angels

My beautiful children the Lord has blessed Matthew and I with. They are perfect and continuely bring simle and fullfillment to ourlives. Godbless us as parents to raise these godly children and strive to be godly parents and do our Lord's will. Praise the Lord that he has blessed us with a health little boy, a fairly easy (quick) birth. I had a natural birth which I feel is the way to go. I always think that the Lord intended childbirth to be painful and if you skip it (ie drug) you miss out on the intense joy that is to follow. It's now been two weeks since my handsome Henry Jasper has arrived, 4-8-08. He was 7 lbs 6oz and 20 1/4 inches. We have recovered from the birth and circumsision. Now we are all trying to get along. I just can't seem to figure out how to handle the 2 year old and a demanding new born and a 5 year old that never runs out of questions. My favorite times are the hungery baby crying, Annie's got her hands down her pants cause she's poopy and Jonah wants me to find his black socks cause he can't and he can't be batman without black socks and I haven't showered in 2 days. Now it is settling down. Henry has desicided to let me set him down for a hour at a time. Annie's Birthday is tomorrow and I want to go shopping. I haven't stepped out yet with the babies by myself yet. I am a little scared. I am looking forward to a chick flick tonight. And the possiblity of sewing today.

The sands of time are falling to quickly.

Oh, I can see the future and I am headed straight for major chaotic, seven weeks till my son joins our growing family. A newborn, a two year old drama queen, and a mischievous 5 year old boy; what were we thinking. Now our female German short hair is in heat and yeah let breed her so the puppies should be here a few weeks after the babies born. Then summer will finally be here. It is finally time to plant a yard and a garden something I have been dreaming of for 4 years. Summer also means major construction for my wonderful contractor husband. I anticipate the completion of our exterior of our house, a chicken coop and a dog kennel. I can hardly wait. When my husband isn't working for someone or on our house we will be camping and fishing. I look forward to the sun and fresh fruit, lots of fish, dinner on our deck, wine and sunsets in the place we call home. For 5 months out of the year this place is truly Paradise. I am currently working on my daughter's quilt and really want to complete it for here 2ND birthday which is how long I have been laboring it. It is truly my first project sewing. I don't know what I am doing but I helped build a house I think I can handle a sewing machine. Ha Ha. I have all the blocks pieced together and now I will start putting them together. I have also just bought Bend the Rules by Amy Karol and In Stitches by Amy Butler which represents Christmas I hope to do through out the year. I have also been contemplating cloth diapers but I just don't know???? So many things going on and I think about them in the middle of the night. I sure can't wait to sleep through the night again.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's day has a very special meaning for me. It is the day that my husband and I promised to be together forever and alway. In the grand scheme of things I am only begining to realize what that means. My husband has enriched my life on so many levels, I cannot even believe that I existed before I met him. I live to serve him in any way I think might make him happy, so that I might return a fraction of love that he has shown me. I live to love that man. I know that I am the Lucky One. The Lord made that man just for me. I thank God for his blessings may times everyday. The Lord also blessed us with these two little people and Oh Boy, they are a very fun and very challenging. God bless them and give me an unending supply of patience. Here they are enjoying a little tea party. Life is good. Celebrate love, it is so sweet.

Hi my name is Krista and this is my first blog. I started looking at blogs about a week ago, in search of montessori information. I came acrossed Montessori by Hand. I am so addicted now. I love sewing yet I am not experienced at it and I don't have a good sewing machine. I am a stay at home mom with my 5 year old son, Jonah and my 2 year old daughter, AnnaMarie. I am also about 6 1/2 months pregnant with my son TBA, whom I can't wait to meet. We live in a house/ construction site that my wonderful husband designed and built with a little help from me. Ha Ha. I am the housekeeper, the teacher, the want-to-be crafter, cook/baker. I have a BFA in photography yet I take no picture. I have a darkroom to be, ah I love my husband. I never knew that marriage was like this. I am a fairytale princess and my husband is truely prince charming. I am so lucky in love.
